ACME Brains, Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") operates nexie and respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Through this site, we collect only the information you choose to give us directly through a form: your name and email address, and optionally why you are interested and how you heard about us. We do not purchase data, scrape profiles, or collect this information from any other source.
When you use the nexie application, we process the prompts you enter and the personal context you choose to store in your Personal Context Engine. This content is used only to provide the service to you: to add relevant context to your requests and to return responses. Your identity is not attached to the prompts and context sent to third-party AI providers (see Section 3).
We use your information solely to contact you about nexie waitlist access and product updates, and to understand general interest in our services. We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to any third party.
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site (such as our email delivery provider, Resend) and only to the extent necessary to provide those services. We may also disclose data if required by law.
When you use the nexie application, the prompt you enter and the context nexie adds to it are sent to third-party AI providers so they can generate a response. Your personal identity is not included in these requests, and each request is self-contained, so the providers cannot link your requests to you or to each other. Prompts and context are transmitted to these providers over encrypted connections. The following providers act as data processors for this purpose:
These providers process this data on our behalf under their respective data processing terms. We do not authorize them to use your prompts or context to train their models.
We do not use first-party tracking cookies. We do not run advertising networks or behavioral profiling on this site. The following third-party services are used:

You can also opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.Because we do not use first-party tracking cookies and only load Google Analytics with your explicit consent, no cookie consent banner is required for basic site browsing. The banner appears solely for the optional analytics feature.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, we process your personal data on the following bases: consent (for analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or using the opt-out link above); and legitimate interests (for operating the site and responding to direct inquiries you initiate).
Waitlist signup information is retained until you request deletion or for up to three years from the date of submission, whichever comes first. Analytics data retention is governed by Google's standard policies.
When you use the nexie application, your prompts, the responses you receive, and your Personal Context Engine content are stored as part of the service, so you can access your history. This data is stored on Google Cloud and is encrypted at rest. A limited number of authorized personnel may access it to debug, operate, and support the service.
